Komera Leadership Center Update

Just like any solid structure, you have to build a powerful foundation to ensure that it is stable. Over the past 12 years, Komera has been building the foundation for this moment. Over the next year, you are going to witness the building of our physical home that has been built on 12 years of hard work, dedication and community collaboration. 

We are thrilled to continue sharing updates on the clearing of our land and putting up our fence around our 1.5-hectare plot of property. When we do this work, it really makes everything come to life and we are so excited to think about our future in this space together. 

Below is a short video of the land being cleared by local workers along the main (paved!) road in Rwinkwavu. In addition to clearing the land, we are also putting in a fence to launch to project build. 

The work of putting in the fence will take a while as our space is quite large and it is done meticulously by hand. 

We are so excited to share that our goal is to break ground in June of this year. As we build our physical foundation, we look forward to creating our home with you.  We have some exciting opportunities in the pipeline in the coming months to get involved and make your mark!
