This dream we had for a home for Komera began many years ago, but became a reality in August 2022, when we officially opened the doors!

A HOME FOR EDUCATION
The Komera Leadership Center boosts student’s motivation to pursue their education and provides an opportunity for students who have dropped out to re-enroll through mentorship and leadership programming. The Education Hall features a computer lab that provides information, communication, and technology education.
A HOME FOR COMMUNITY
Community programs within the Komera Leadership Center will support the 29,000 people living in Rwinkwavu sector. Programs focus on youth empowerment, parent and guardian cooperatives, and supporting teen mothers through small business development training. The Center provides a space for community engagement to advance gender equity and inclusivity.
A HOME FOR HEALTH & wellness
Health programs at the Komera Leadership Center will reach over 25,000 girls over the next 10 years. The Health Post provides young women with Sexual Reproductive Health counseling services. The Center provides an opportunity to expand our wellness programming through yoga, meditation, and sports activities for youth and community members.
