A Home for Education

Currently in Rwanda, only 18% of students graduate from secondary school, and only 8% of tertiary-age youth are enrolled in tertiary education. (1)

Lower secondary education (Grades 7-9) completion rates are at 33%.

Komera boasts a 100% graduation rate from secondary school over the past five years, and 61% of our students go on to University, developing into leaders of their communities and country.

While the Government of Rwanda has made huge progress towards universal primary education, schools are crowded and after-school programs are needed to help young boys and girls access the services that they need in order to excel. The Komera Leadership Center is poised to fill this gap.

Educational programming at the Komera Leadership Center will focus on early childhood development programs, after school and weekend interventions for primary school, and secondary school supplemental programs.
