Statement of Solidarity

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the painful events of the past several weeks in the United States.

We at Komera stand in solidarity with communities across the world who are frustrated with daily systemic oppression and are demanding justice.

As an organization, we will not be silent while there is ongoing racism and violence against Black Americans.

We cannot claim to work to advance the rights of women and girls globally and simultaneously stand by while Black lives are being threatened.

We are listening and reflecting on how we can do better and be better for our global community.

We must acknowledge our inherent privileges, educate ourselves, and be active allies.

None of us are equal until all of us are equal. #BlackLivesMatter
